Leisure is hard work, and it should pay off

Running a business in leisure, tourism or hospitality can feel like you’re stuck on a roller coaster serving a never-ending all-day breakfast. But the constant challenges, by turns costly or scary, are part of the ride—the skill is in how you anticipate them.

Professional advice from a team that really knows the area adds value and can improve the profitability of your business and mitigate the many risks it faces.

You can make the whole business work better for you, for example by paying attention to the details of contracts right from the outset, negotiating better terms for the space you occupy and keeping an eye on the potential snags before they turn into costly issues.

There are many ways that relevant legal advice will help to improve the outlook and ensure the business returns the pleasure you give to others.

We love a bit of leisure too

The feel-good factor in your business is always boosted when others recognise your achievements. It gives us a great deal of pleasure to say thank you to our clients by supporting awards and initiatives in the sector.

A wide range of business support is available

Howes Percival Leisure and Tourism acted for Craft Leisure in its acquisition of a holiday business, including legal due diligence, share purchase agreement, tax covenants & warranties, searches and title investigation of multiple properties, and preparing shareholder settlement agreements and other ancillary documents. The client commented:

“Richard Turner’s (corporate lawyer) calm, confident and professional manner was immensely reassuring. From the outset, it was clear that he knew what he was doing, understood the complexities of the deal and would ensure that our interests were protected.

Joanna Nicholls (property lawyer) is friendly, professional and conscientious. The registered titles had excessively complex rights and obligations, but she worked through them diligently - often working through the evenings to get the reports on title delivered in time.

A very professional, responsive and reassuring organisation, who give the impression that they genuinely have the best interests of their clients at heart. All members of the team were good at listening to our opinions, taking them on board and offering sound and imaginative advice based on our needs and expectations. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending them to others, and using them for the next project.”
