Leading regional law firm, Howes Percival has announced 14 senior promotions, including three new partners as it prepares for further growth.
The promotions span Howes Percival’s Cambridge, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, and Norwich offices, covering its commercial property, corporate and commercial, employment, intellectual property, dispute resolution, estates, planning and construction practices.
Hannah Steggles, Katharine Danks and Nicola Curle have been made partners in the firm. Katherine Cereghino, Erica Gradus, Hannah Pryce, Jenna Bruce, Elizabeth Thomas, Alexandra Kirkwood, Matthew Thompson and Victoria Sandell have been promoted to the level of director. Jamie Childs, Charlotte McClean and Lora Moutafova have been made senior associates.
Howes Percival has also named a new head of department for its corporate and commercial services. After more than a decade in the role, Senior partner, Gerald Couldrake, will pass the baton on to Daniel Banton. Gerald will continue to head Howes Percival’s very successful Northampton corporate and commercial team and to support Daniel in his new role. The firm also confirmed that it is continuing its recruitment drive to bolster its commercial offering still further.

Partner promotions
- Hannah Steggles – Specialism: intellectual property law (Leicester office).
Hannah advises clients on all aspects of UK and European intellectual property law. While her focus is on contentious matters she is highly experienced in non-contentious matters. She is also a member of Howes Percival’s data protection team. Hannah trained at Howes Percival, qualifying into the litigation team, she has since developed a complete Intellectual Property practice.
Katharine is a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association which recognises her detailed knowledge of various aspects of agricultural and rural issues. She has led complex matters for agricultural clients involving agricultural and rural property, tax and trusts issues.
- Nicola Curle – Specialism: commercial property (Norwich office).
Nicola advises on conditional contracts, options and overage arrangements, development projects are her specialism. Nicola has expertise in the Education sector and has expertise in advising Academy clients on a range of matters. She has also acted for care home providers and other health sector developers.
