A paralegal from Howes Percival’s Commercial Property team has launched a new Instagram account for horse-lovers, equestrian business owners and land and property agents with connections to the equestrian sector.
The account aims to keep its followers up to date with the latest news and updates to the laws that affect the equestrian community and provide insights about legal issues that are relevant to landowners, livery landlords, livery tenants and those looking to purchase or sell property with equestrian facilities.
Abi Rudd, the paralegal behind the account, has particular expertise in equestrian property and deals with a range of freehold and leasehold commercial and residential property transactions including disposals and acquisitions, landlord and tenant matters as well as a variety of property finance matters.
A keen rider herself, Abi launched the account to raise awareness within the equestrian sector of the legal and financial implications of taking on or letting out property. The dedicated Instagram account not only shares photographs of Abi’s life in the livery yard, but prompts others to think about the equestrian-related legal issues they may be facing.
Abi Rudd said:
I was inspired to set up @thehorseylawyer by my love of horses and everything to do with them. I am really keen to raise the profile of legal services within the equestrian world because, for most people in the community, their horses are their greatest concern and all too often the legal implications of taking on property is not considered fully. This can have financial implications and cause additional stress that could be avoided.
