Howes Percival’s Norwich office has raised over £5,000 for its Charity of the Year 2018, TimeNorfolk.
TimeNorfolk supports anyone who finds themselves in distress due to pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss, termination and other pregnancy-related issues such as infertility or post-natal depression. They also provide information and support for women and their partners facing an unplanned pregnancy.
The money was raised through a series of fundraising events including quizzes, sweepstakes, raffles and sponsored activities, including a skydive. Staff rounded their year-long fundraising efforts with a festive quiz and Christmas jumper competition.
Commenting on Howes Percival’s 2018 fundraising, Lesley Bradfield, Director of TimeNorfolk said, “Howes Percival have been so supportive of TimeNorfolk over the last year, being their charity of the year has meant a lot to us. They worked tirelessly to raise funds, shown compassion to the work we do and been great fun to be alongside. Thank you all so much.”
Tessa Haskey, Howes Percival’s Chairman said,
“At Howes Percival we are committed to actively supporting our local communities. Every year staff across our offices select a local cause close to their hearts and raise donations through a wide range of activities.
“We’ve had a great year supporting TimeNorfolk and we’re extremely pleased to have been able to hand over a cheque for such a significant amount. During 2018 staff came up with some great fundraising ideas including the Miles in May challenge, a Norfolk Day raffle, World Cup sweepstake and jumping out of a plane at 30,000 feet!”
Tessa continued,
“I am delighted to announce that this year, we will be supporting Norwich Foodbank. Norwich Foodbank plays a vital role in helping people who, often through a crisis such as unemployment, bereavement or illness, find they are unable to provide for themselves or their family by providing emergency food supplies and other household essentials.”
