Howes Percival has welcomed the government’s plans to create ‘Europe’s Silicon Valley’.
In her speech on 29 January, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, unveiled plans to build ‘Europe’s Silicon Valley’ between Oxford and Cambridge, with policies designed to boost the region’s growth and add a potential £78bn to the UK economy.
With offices in Oxford, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Northampton, Howes Percival has a keen interest in the area. The firm works with organisations across the region, including universities as well as clients in the technology and innovation sector and the development sector, all of which will pay a key role as the government progresses this initiative.
Howes Percival’s Chairperson, Geraint Davies said,
This is exciting news for us and all of our clients who are based in the region. With offices spanning the length and breadth of the area, we have long viewed it as a vibrant hub for business, technology and innovation. The opening of our Oxford office last year cemented our dedication to the Oxford – Cambridge arc and we are invested in its success, and the success of all of our clients whose future is intertwined with the government’s plans for the region.
We are excited to see these plans start to roll out and will continue to support our clients and communities as things progress.
