Howes Percival’s turnover increased 10% on a pro-rata 12-month basis in 2024, according to its latest annual results.
Howes Percival, which has offices in Cambridge, Leicester, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Norwich and Oxford, posted turnover of £31.4m for the 11 months to 31st of March 2024, as the firm transitions its traditional company year-end from 30 April in response to tax changes.
The result follows a period of sustained growth, which included a double-digit turnover increase in 2023, too.
The firm has created over 50 brand new roles in the last two years and increased the number of partners to 63, alongside investments in IT and office infrastructure, as part of its ongoing investment and growth plan. Plans are in place to continue recruiting across all seven offices, including partners, solicitors and support roles.
Howes Percival’s Chairperson, Geraint Davies, commented,
We are absolutely delighted with the firm’s performance in 2024, highlighted by another double-digit increase in turnover. Profits are up 4% on a pro-rata basis, which reflects our significant, and ongoing reinvestment back into the firm so that we can continuously improve the services we provide to our clients.
The last 12 months have seen a new Howes Percival office opening in Oxford, growth in new instructions as we are increasingly viewed as a go-to firm in all our key markets, and ongoing success in terms of attracting the best legal talent to join us.
Earlier this month, Howes Percival was ranked in the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ list for the fifth year running and awarded the highest level of accreditation for 'world class' levels of workplace engagement. The list celebrates excellence in workplace engagement and is widely acknowledged as the most searching and extensive research into employee engagement carried out in the UK.
