Last Friday, our Partner, Morris Peacock, Director, Gordon Simpson and Trainee Solicitor, Kieran John took part in Norwich Sleep Out 2017 in support of The Benjamin Foundation.
They took themselves out of their comfort zone by spending the night sleeping outside to raise money and awareness of the issue of youth homelessness.
Kieran commented that “It was tough night with very little sleep, which really brought to life the challenges of sleeping outside”, despite this “it was great to be part of such a fantastic event alongside 110 other hardy people who cumulatively raised over £30,000 for The Benjamin Foundation”.
Gordon said he “wanted to do this to help raise funds, raise awareness of the fantastic work The Benjamin Foundation do and to get an idea what it is like to sleep out. I am so glad I got involved to support the charity. They amount raised was fantastic and shows how much support there is for this worthy cause. Fortunately there was a great atmosphere amongst the participants which helped us to get through the night. It is frightening to think how vulnerable individuals must feel sleeping out alone and not knowing if or when they will next have a warm bed. I would recommend this event to others for next year”.
Team Howes Percival LLP has, so far, raised over £1,000 for the charity.
