Howes Percival’s Norwich office has raised over £9,000 for its 2024 Charity of the Year, The Feed.
The Feed aims to empower communities in Norwich, ensuring everyone can eat well, live well & feel connected. Based in Norwich, its initiatives include a community café, a Social Supermarket and other projects to support some of the city’s most vulnerable people.
This total was raised through a variety of fundraising activities, including sweepstakes, bake sales, raffles and the annual Howes Percival Norwich Charity Christmas quiz. Notable thanks go to Becketts, Westcotec and Ward Hill Walker for their sponsorship of our Business Breakfast events as well as Trainee Solicitor Abbie Mole who participated in the Blickling Half Marathon in aid of The Feed. We also mustn’t forget the Howes Percival team who joined The Feed in their 15-mile Coastal Walk fundraiser along the North Norfolk Coast. Howes Percival Partner Gordon Simpson’s eye-catching seagull outfit helped with team morale and raising awareness of The Feed’s valuable work in the Norwich area.
Howes Percival also enjoyed taking part in, and sponsoring, The Feed’s Treasure Hunt around Norwich city centre. The Norwich office have not only helped The Feed financially but also by collecting gifts for The Feed to provide to their Social Supermarket members, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts and Easter eggs, as well as helping The Feed wrap presents in the lead up to Christmas.
Chris Elliott, Corporate Marketing & Fundraising Manager of The Feed, commented:
"We have really enjoyed our year of support from Howes Percival's Norwich office. The team have helped The Feed in so many ways including a large group completing our 15-mile Coast Walk, many have volunteered at our Social Supermarket and Community Café, and they have continued to use our catering for their office events. The funds they've raised will help us to continue our work so more people in Norwich can eat well, live well and feel connected."
Howes Percival’s Norwich Charity Committee member, Luke Gorman, said:
“We have had a brilliant year working with The Feed and it has been great to see the office rally together to support this important cause and make a positive impact on our community. Chris and all the team at the Feed have been a pleasure to work with. As the cost of living crisis continues and government funding becomes even harder to come by, The Feed’s work will only become more important and more challenging to deliver. Hopefully the money we have raised will go some way to helping the ever-increasing number of people who rely on The Feed and other charities to eat well, live well & feel connected. We are now looking forward to supporting the fantastic Sue Lambert Trust who have been chosen as our Charity of the Year for 2025.”
