Marking 25 years of our Leicester office and bringing to an end a year of celebrating and giving back to our wonderful city we were thrilled to invite students from across Leicester to take part in our exciting art competition – My Leicester.
Exclusively for local secondary schools ‘My Leicester’ celebrated everything great about the diversity of the city. Students were encouraged to express and illustrate how they see Leicester and how the city inspires them. We were completely overwhelmed by the standard of entries received and very impressed with the abundance of talent, imagination and creativity which was displayed within the artwork.
The judges shortlisted 10 pieces of work and the finalists were invited to join us at the Graffwerk Studio to take part in an exclusive graffiti workshop, where under the guidance of the incredibly talented team at Graffwerk, the students were able to create their own artwork.
During the workshop the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Cllr Susan Barton kindly joined the session to meet with the students and present the prizes to the winning entries.
Justine Flack, Partner at Howes Percival commented
“It was a privilege to be part of this competition. The standard of entries we received really was fantastic and it was insightful to see how the students viewed Leicester, and how they managed to capture the essence of the City with such talent and creativity.“
