Howes Percival Achieves Prestigious Information Security Certification

Howes Percival’s commitment to information security has been recognised with an ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001 is internationally recognised as the ‘gold standard’ for information security management. To achieve this certification, an organisation must put in place a robust information security management system that ensures the protection of information across its IT infrastructure, premises and people.

Partner and Compliance Officer, Graham Irons who led the project, said,

‘Attaining the ISO 27001 certification is a milestone for the firm and an achievement we are proud of. The safety of our clients’ data and staff data is paramount and we are constantly reviewing our practices to ensure their information is protected. In recent years, organisations have seen a growing number of cyberattacks where the goal is stealing or denying access to information and IT systems. We have therefore invested heavily in technology, processes and training to ensure our clients’ confidential information remains secure in the face of evolving threats. ISO 27001 is now a minimum requirement in many tenders particularly in the public sector. Our accreditation therefore assists us with our work in that sector and also in achieving the firm’s ambitious plans for growth. ’
