Cambridge Launches Contract Masterclass for In-House Lawyers

Howes Percival's Cambridge office's inaugural event for in-house counsel will be held at The Trinity Centre on 29 November 2017.

This event is aimed at equipping in-house lawyers with valuable training and resources, as well as the opportunity to network with peers and build your contact network.

08.35 - General Data Protection Regulation: Intellectual Property & IT Partner and data protection expert, James Howarth will focus on the current hot topic for in-house lawyers, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on 25 May 2018. It brings with it the biggest change to data protection law in 20 years.

08.50 - Breaking Up Is Never Easy: Alison Kirby discusses the "do's and don'ts" of termination clauses and how to achieve a clean break.

09.15 - Coffee Break

09.45 - Commercial Case Law Update: Our guest speakers from Hardwicke Chambers will take you through recent cases that are likely to have an effect on the way in which you draft your contracts.
